Did a Bellingham, Washington area photographer take this picture?

       This photograph was contributed by Gary CHRISTENSON who would like to identify the photographer. Gary believes the photo was taken in the Bellingham, WA area around 1920-1930. He noted the unusual backdrop behind the people in the photograph and thought it might be recognized by others. This backdrop was probably used many times during that period so chances are, there are similar photographs out there.
