This photograph was sent by Carolyn
HEFFNER of Belmont, N.C. She believes this young boy may be one of her French
Huguenot DURANT ancestors from the Charleston, S.C. area. The boy appears to
be between 6 and 9 years of age.
The image is imprinted on glass and
framed with a second clear glass in a brass frame. It appears to be the
negative image. When held in the proper light against just the
right dark background, it becomes crystal clear. The photograph was
found among the belongings of Carolyn's grandmother.
